Gina has been a registered nurse for over 23 years, building her career as a clinician and educator in a number of specialties including general practice, paediatrics, and intensive care. She has extensive experience working with people with complex care needs living in the community. As a leader in her field, Gina is well-regarded for her collaborative approach to care and management. She is an innovator and strategic disruptor who challenges the status quo and consistently demonstrates moral courage in championing high-quality, evidence-informed practices.
In 2015, Gina recognised a gap in the market and the need for nursing and support services that provided a differentiated and ethical approach to care and founded Achieving Solutions. During this time, she led and developed a team of dedicated nurses and support workers to support people with high-intensity care needs in the community. In line with her vision, she transformed practice through the development and implementation of innovative care strategies that addressed the rapidly growing demand for high-quality services for people living with complex care needs.
Gina is an expert in managing complex care needs, including enteral (PEG) and respiratory management (including tracheostomy, BIPAP, and suctioning) and ensures that individuals and their support networks have the necessary information, skills, and support to self-manage where they can. She is well-regarded for her expertise, attention to detail, and comprehensiveness in the development of management plans and reports, along with providing specialised nursing care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Gina is passionate about the profound impact of mentorship in healthcare, recognising its benefits in professional development, improving patient care, and fostering a supportive work environment.
